Portfolio Analyzer

Oppenheimer Funds

Portfolio Analyzer is a web application designed for the firm's consultants to assist their clients in the creation of financial portfolios. I was tasked with the architecture and design of an application that was both simple to use and one that elevated the firm's image with clients. The challenge was how to display large amounts of data in an intuitive and organized manner that was easy for users to follow. As an outcome, the firm was able to increase the speed of analyzing portfolios and offer a sophisticated digital offering to their clients.

Create a portfolio

To create a portfolio, we designed a simple journey where consultants were guided through a series of steps. At any point in the process, users could go back and forth to edit their selections.

Portfolio Analysis

Once a porfolio was created, users were taking into an analysis where we offered different types of comparisons to measure the model against its peers and selected benchmark. Using a charting library, we customized a lot of the data visualizations to fit the projects needs.

Consultant's Dashboard

We created a simple dashboard for our consultants to manage all models. From here, they were able to revise, edit and clone portfolios or share with their clients.

Closing Remarks

Besides the screens shown above, I also designed an entire design system for developers to follow. This includes a messaging system, typography styles, colors, component library and interaction patterns.
